Factory MP3 hook up

Does anyone know the part number for the factory MP3 player hook up? Has anyone done it? I know the manual says some of the 04's got it but mine didn't and i want it!. Can't be all that hard to do. thanks in advance.

you guys have it easy. For us old 9-3's it is a lot of soldering and messing with stuff to get an aux-in:-D

Ease of modification is what i'm looking for as i get older :-) Read the installation on the part u sent me.......very simple. thanks again. Now any chance you would know the bolt patternof my wheels or where I could find it? I have a 2 month old set of 18in.Audi RS4 replicas off my Beetle I just traded inthat I would like to know if they would fit or I should sell.

You'll kill me for this, but I think you have 5x110 just like me...and that means very limited wheel availability.

RE: Factory MP3 hook up

what is the pattern on them? I've heard of people being able to use 5x112's too with some special bolts....consult a tire shop near you for that.

you can use 5x108 or 5x112 with the wobble bolts...but what you have to be careful of is the center bore of the rim, if its to big or small the rims wont balance right and all that stress is on the bolts and you can prob predict were its going to go from there

hubcentric rings help or not?

RE: Factory MP3 hook up

Could always find hubcentric rings but would rather a "true" fitment. They are both 5x100 or 5x112 to fit all VW and Audi models. Saab has some nice wheels and I wouldn't mind a nice set of 17's so when I sell these off maby i'll pick up a set. Right now I have the 10 spoke in 16's which im happy with for now :). Back to the topic........I spoke with the parts guy at my dealer earlier today and he told me he has 2 of the mp3 cables in stock at $44.00. unfortunatly parts was closed when I picked up my car after work (minor details from when I bought it) so it will have to wait till saturday. A tech. also needs a few min. with the car to enable the Aux. function in the infotainment system which the service manager said could be done if I come in sat. Keep you posted. Again I thank you for that link Roto, that was the way I was going till the dealer told me they were in stock at the same price.

It sounds like you have a good dealer...

@roto the link you gave makes it look like it's a different process for 2006 and newer. Can you give details on that too? Thanks!

Unfortunately I can't. Simply no firsthand experience and I wouldn't want to mislead you. The dealer might be helpful here.
