HELP!!!!! smoking 9-3

I recently forked out some money for a 2000 9-3 for my girl friend, I brought it with the knowledge that the turbo was shot. So, I fitted a brand new turbo, removed sump, cleaned oil strainer, cleaned oil feed pipes, changed fan belt, primed the turbo.
So with everything bolted back together, with new oil in, ive fired it up, and allowed it to warm right up - until the fan cuts in. So far, so good. So I take it up the road for a test drive and everything seems fine..... until its put under load. When it starts smoking. More load = more smoke. At first I just thought it was oil remaining in the exhaust from the previous turbo (which had definately gone). But I have driven it a fair few miles and its still the same.
Now there was a bit oil in the intercooler pipes before I bolted everything back together, could It be this? How long does it take for the oil to clear out of the exhaust usually? Or could it be faulty turbo seals? Im hoping its not piston rings, valve guides or stem seals. And the engine sounds sweet, and quiet? Has anybody had this trouble? Any advice would be much appreciated.

i had the same problem, of smoking, and i did the same changed the turbo, and as you say fine when not under load but smoking under load, i found the the intercooler was full of oil, i took the pipe off which leads out of the cooler and pointed it downwards and got someone to rev the engine, i got about a cup full of oil out of it, now no smoke,
hope this is helpful
