jack in arm rest

I bought an 05 9 3 aero in Jan and just now discovered a jack in the armrest next to the auxillary power outlet. What is the jack for? Can't find anything about it in the users manual.

It should be an AUX input for an MP3 player. At least it is on my 9-3.
