Leaky convertible top on 2002 9-3
 

Hi,

I have a 2002 Saab 9-3 and the convertible top leaks in the rain. The water leaks at the top of the window where the drivers side window peaks and meets with the convertible top. It comes right in that "corner" and drips down the door into the driver's side door map pocket and onto the floorboard. It's quite annoying. It does it in the same spot on the passenger's side, but it's not as bad. Also, water gets into the trunk and I can't figure out for the life of me how (next step is to get into the trunk and have somebody spray the hose on the car as it leaked when I washed it a couple of weeks ago as well). After I bought the car a couple of months ago, I opened up the trunk, the wet musty/mildew smell was pretty strong. Is this a common problem and is there anyway to fix it? I've had convertibles in the past and they all leak to some degree, but this seems like something is missing/worn out.

Can't help you with the top, but the water in the trunk is either a clogger up antenna drain hose or a bad seal on the rear shock mounts. Either way you ahve to pull the carpet off to fix it.
