Transmission light turns on
 

First things first I have an automatic, When I start the car the transmission light turns on and then disappears immediately ( literally only a second or two). I know the previous owner replaced the transmission maybe about a year ago so I'm really hoping this isn't a problem.

I guess my question is, does this light turn on by default when the car is started or does it only appear if a problem has been detected like I stated above it doesn't stay on it's only there for about a second!
I figured if it was a problem it would be similar to the check engine light and stay on permanently lol. It runs amazing any insight on this would be great.
