Trunk will not latch
 

Yesterday for the first time I used a bike rack seated on the trunklid on my 2007 9-3 Sedan. All was good until I came home to remove the bike and its rack. Afterwards the trunklid would not latch.

A couple of times before I've heard several "clicks" from the latch when using the remote. Now it's silent. I had to tie the lid down with a string, since it flew open when going over a speedbump. Any ideas?

The bike rack is a Thule Raceway and it's heavy and so is my bike. Could too much weight on the lid cause this?
