TURBO PROBLEM QUESTION !!
 

I just bought a 1999 9-3..it has 126k on it..its also a five speed..when i get on it full pedal..the farthest the turbo gauge goes is half way into the orange..probably not even half way..does that mean my turbo is bad.. I also have a 1989 saab turbo that has the same type of problem..the boost is only about halfway. ANd i know on my 89 that all of a sudden one day the boost just stopped working..it was fine 100% one day and then the next 1/3 boost.. thanks for any hellp

on your 9-3, does it only do that in 1st and 2nd gears? FYI in1st and 2nd gears boost is limited to reduce torque steer and wheelspin...kind of a bad substitute for an LSD.
