turbo upgrade issues....help!!!

I hope someone out there can help. I recently purchased a 2000 9-3 base model and upgraded it with a 2002 SE turbo and hardware. The vehicle now spools up then falls flat. Any ideas or questions, please contact me.

wait, why'd you do that? The turbocharger in the base and the SE is the same...

the turbo impeller and turbo itself is substantially larger, it came off of a B205R vin K car.

Yeah, you're right. I guess I was tired when I wrote that. I think what you're experiencing is boost cut. You're running lean. What you want to do is reflash your ECU with the software from the HOT model.

ecu flash

Thank you for the reply, do you know if the software is down loadable to an iflash unit? i have access to the HOT computer and was wondering if it could work in mine. The interchange says NO but you may know better.
Thanks

Well the interchange says no because it is in fact different software. If I know correctly you have a T7 in the 2000 (black DI cassette), so the HOT box should work just fine. I would think that you could just swap a HOT box in and it would work, but I think there's also something with the security system in there. I have flashed T7s before, but I mostly do T5s at the moment since that is what I have. If you live anywhere close to Philadelphia you could stop over by my shop we could back up your ECU, take a backup of the HOT box, put in your connector code in and flash it to your box. Shouldn't take more than a few hours. There's also a cool SID modification you can do on the T7 where you can have engine parameters displayed on the SID.

Nevermind that, I see that you're from TN. If you want we can work it out over mail or you could buy the tools to do it. It's not that expensive to do.

Phil, You are the man, I will try your recommendations first. If all else fails I will look you up. Great gouge, thanks!

Other than I don't know where Phil came from - you're welcome. Something tells me the HOT ecu needs to be married to the car or reflashed with the correct connector code, but if it won't just work, that's something that is easily done.
