So about a month ago my alarm randomly went off by itself, skip to today and it has gone off about five times by itself. I unlocked my car and got in and it did not stop. I tried to start the car but it wouldn't let me because of the SID reading of "theft problem" or something similiar.

I was wondering if I just leave my doors unlocked will that prevent the problem from happening?

Nope, I've only had the Saab since January. No problems other then the recent alarm ordeal.

 

How many keys did you receive with the car?

Regardless look for a mechanic that has a GM Tech2 in your area with a Saab module. It may seen more expensive at first, but it is your cheapest way out of this problem. I personally used to disable the factory immobilizer and run a Viper alarm instead. Tech2 is a pretty common diagnostic tool. Expect to pay $80-150 for a diagnostic, but it will be well worth it.
