I had posted but what alternator is best and how to remove seats
I have a 2006 saab and both the stock bosch 114k mile alternator off the 08 aero is bad as well as the bosch reman someone had put on 3-4 years before. When i took them to autozone they tested good on the charging. But can an alternator cause a battery drain yes they have a one way diode internally from the cable from battery that if it goes bad itll cause a battery drain with the car parked off. I tried the diode test with multimeter and both failed. Im thinking the autozone reman alternator is probably best and do 06-08 saab alternators for the 9-5 fit the same or 08 has higher amps? Will it hurt to put a higher amp alternator wont cause any high volts code?
Also im trying to remove the seats out of a 08 9-5 and 06 9-5. The 08 battery is removed as well as fuses but could maybe put back in to button slide seat forward and back. Someone told me theres a 2 plug wire under the seat directly to motor that will go forward and back if probed with 12 volts? That way to access the 4 torx bolts any idea what size torx bits? And how about removing the rear seats? They have a pole on the backside that goes thru the side how to dissassemble and remove? |
