2001 9 5 SE, 95,000 mi. engine light & ! both come on and the car acts as though it's in the "W" transmission mode. after shutting the car off and restarting, lights are out and the problem goes away! maybe days or weeks later, it will happen again, no apparent cause, never does it at speed, just while stopped, just does it when it gets the urge!!! Any words of wisdom? Thanks for your time gang!!

next time it happens - go to autozone or any other store that checks OBD2 codes for free and let us know what the code is. It's definitely going into limp mode, but without the code it's a tough guess.
