Power locks are dead

my power locks are not working. nothing happens when pushing the lock/unlock botton in the center. no noise or clicking, anything. currently I have to lock each door manually. I also had to reorder a key, so have to program my keyless as well.

anyone with any suggestions beside going to dealer?

thanks,
04 9-5 sedan

dude, are you for real? this is a saab forum, and you hijack my thread to ask about a freakin datsun??? try googling datsun forum, it'll be more helpful than asking here, as we're having a hard time getting answers to saab questions.

First thing to check is whether the actual switch works. That's easily done with a multimeter. If it does - check if there is power getting to the switch.

yes, there is power to the switch. all fuses are good as well. even with bad center switch, the power lock should work by locking/unlocking driver's side lock using a key, and that doesn't do anything neither.

is there a power lock module somewhere that I can check? thanks

The locks are tied into the TWICE module (read - expensive), When you open the door you can get access to the wires going into the door to the lock solenoids (rubber hose thing in the jamb). Check to see if you have power to the locks. If you don't - TWICE is the most likely cause of this.
