The check engine light on my 2001 Saab 93 has been on for a few months. Each time I have it in for service they pull a P0442 code - Evap Leak Detected. They reset it but have so far been unable to find the root cause and it comes back on within a day. Now the good news is that I'm getting 37 mpg highway, up from like 30 when the car was new. Does anyone know of any downside ? The car seems to run great and 37 mpg is hybrid like gas mileage.

Are you sure you're actually gettign 37mpg? The SID can be wrong... and the leak is most likely in the vent hoses next to the gas tank.
