Model: 1997 SE Turbo A/T with 71,000 miles. Problem: when the accelerator is floored, the engine speeds up for a fraction of a second, then cuts out, and a sharp little bump is felt. The cycle repeats.... I experienced this when going about 35 mph- I was borrowing the car and so had limited experience with the cutting-out. Later the owner confirmed the behavior. Wide Open Throttle sensor problem? Diagnostic help will be much-appreciated.
