saab 900 value with new engine, transmission problem
I'll start out by asking if anyone has had this problem. When I shift into Drive it doesnt engage fully. It usually engages partially almost instantly, enough to move the car forward. But full engagement doesnt happen for anywhere between a second and maybe 5-10 seconds at the most. Then today my check engine/gearbox light came on, then subsequently went off several hours later. It doesnt have any problems shifting into reverse, and it doesnt always do this (but usually does). Any ideas?
That brings me to my next question. A few months ago I had to have the engine and a few other parts replaced. Could that be related? Also what could I expect for a resale value on this car? I like it a lot but I have only had it for about 8 months and have already had to put more $ in it than i originally paid for it
Its a 1998 900s hatchback, 138kish miles, only 50k on the new engine. New tires, very clean inside and out. KBB says $2200 but doesnt account for the new engine. Anyone have any thoughts on how much this would be worth if i tried to sell it? Thanks!
