main fuse

my subs stopped working and i took it to the place that did the install and they said that it is more than likely the main fuse that is protecting the amp...i have no clue in the world what the main fuse is or where it is...maybe im just overlooking it..im looking at the lil fuse box beside my battery (03' 93) and ive pulled most of them out but i dont know what to do?any help on main fuse?thanks guys and how to tell its its blown or w/e

RE: main fuse

Um...you using an aftermarket amp or the stock one? I'd say the place should have fixed it for you since i t's most likely their fault...

RE: main fuse

its aftermarket amp...he said just to check the main fuse and if that isnt it bring it back...the place i work on fixes anything for life...only if its their fault (loose cables, faulty wires etc.) replace for free.but not if fuses or if i blow a sub or something...idk where it will be?i remember him telling me about taking something out from under the steerign whee column???

RE: main fuse

There should have been a separate cable ran from the battery to the amp with an insline fuse. See if you can trace that.

Disconnect the battery, take the thing out and try to ring it with a multipmeter....if it rings - it's good, if it doesn't - it's dead.
