main fuse

Default main fuse

my subs stopped working and i took it to the place that did the install and they said that it is more than likely the main fuse that is protecting the amp...i have no clue in the world what the main fuse is or where it is...maybe im just overlooking it..im looking at the lil fuse box beside my battery (03' 93) and ive pulled most of them out but i dont know what to do?any help on main fuse?thanks guys and how to tell its its blown or w/e

Um...you using an aftermarket amp or the stock one? I'd say the place should have fixed it for you since i t's most likely their fault...

its aftermarket amp...he said just to check the main fuse and if that isnt it bring it back...the place i work on fixes anything for life...only if its their fault (loose cables,faulty wires etc.) replace for free.but not if fuses or if i blow a sub or something...idk where it will be?i remember him telling me about taking something out from under the steerign whee column???

There should have been a separate cable ran from the battery to the amp with an insline fuse. See if you can trace that.

this is from the batterry to the amp but im not sure if its going thru the dash or under the car ri havnt had a good look under the car yet..is that the fuse>? i know nothing about electrical

oops how embarrassing..guess I gotta figure out how to check that thing then...hopefully that is whats wrong and not my subs

Disconnect the battery, take the thing out and try to ring it with a multipmeter....if it rings - it's good, if it doesn't - it's dead.

ok it works im not sure what I did...i messed with that fuse and disconencted battery and when i started car I had base...no clue but it works now
