I have a 1995 900SE convertible. There a black flap underneath the car on the driver's side near the driver's door. Does anyone know what its purpose is and can I remove it? It scrapes the pavement often especially on raised areas like speed bumps and dips...help!

Ok, will do. It hangs down like a mud flap as if it is to keep spray off part of the exhaust or something. Thanks...

 

none of the splash shields are really supposed to hang down...I would get under there and see if it's just loose somewhere...
