Need my radio code
I just bought an 89 900 that has the original radio. When I pulled some fuses, the radio went into lock down mode and I need a 4 digit code to get it working again. Is there a way to get the code for an old car like this? I did a search of the forums and nothing came up, which surprised me because I imagine that other folks would have the same problem.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have the same problem on my 97 900 se turbo. I too have been searching. On youtube i sew a guy who claims that if you call the PARTS department at a saab dealership and are nice you might get the code. Unfortunately you will need to remove the radio from the dash to get the cereal number off of it. If you radio is like mine this can be done with a piece of coat hanger wire about 8 inches long bent into a u shape. the wires go into the little holes on other side of the head unit. you will have to push them in until you have unlocked the unit and it should pull out. my cereal number was on the top. You will want to call the Parts department and not the service department. The service department will just tell you to bring the car in and they will charge you an hour for 5 mins of work.
