Overheating within 2 mles. MY2000 Aero Wagon

Default Overheating within 2 mles. MY2000 Aero Wagon

Help needed. Happened today 4 times. Drive 2 miles temp guage hits red, and Warning on dash.

Checked coolant
Checked fuse 15 (Fan)

Is it the Thermostat.?

it might be the thermostat. heres how to test your GM thermostat - remove it from the engine and put it in a boilong water. the spring should move, and if it works it should open widely, and it opens slightly or not at all i suggest you replaced it with a new one.

Don't bother checking the thermo...jsut replace it...cheap part. Make sure you buy a new gasket too.
