Default Saab 93 SE 1999 2.0 litre petrol not starting intermittently

Please forgive me if this is not in motor speak,my husband is at work but will be back later to decipher possible replies! my Saab randomly will not start, the engine turns but will not fire (battery is quite new so I get lots of tries starting without running it down). This happens whether the car has been running all day or is cold in fact I think it has never happened from cold (and boy have we been cold). If I wait 20 minutes it bursts into life and runs like there has never been a problem. This does not happen all the time and when it went for MOT it WOULD NOT do it but it is happening more frequently it also cut out when idling yesterday and then would not start. Please could you suggest what may be wrong before I bring Leeds to a standstill in rush hour! The car has done 166,000 miles and therefore is more than entitled to be a bit tired!

It sounds like an overflow. Although thats just an opinion.. You should have it routine checked unless you have done that already!
