Default SID Light

Hello,

I recently purchased a 2004 9-3 and new to this forum. I already have an issue. The SID light is very dim all of a sudden. Is there a way I can adjust it or is this a malfunction? When I start the car, it lights up fine but after a few seconds it 's very dim. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ric

First guess - dimmer switch? Try turning hte headlights on/off and see what happens.

idk if that will work or not..my headlights are ALWAYS on...whether I have my lights on or off..or on the middle (park lights)...but idk my radio/electronics are so mangled nothing works SID wise like when I bought it...mangled as in ive done stuff to my radio dont get the wrong idea ricaus its not mangled as in all electronical parts in my car just went crazy one day...I had a aftermarket radio put in and it messed up all my SID's..but I dont recall that EVER happening to me so I would say it MIGHT be a error somewhere...if its the dimmer the radio/dash would be dim also

the DRLs don't count as headlight being on...the headlight switch still has quite a bit of function.
