Default Turbo Bypass Valve

does anyone know how technical changing the Turbo Bypass Valve on a 98 900 is? From what I have been able to read on here, I think that is whats wrong with my car (stalling at stoplights, rpm's going up and down when idling, etc...). My dad can do most simple mechanics, but i want to make sure i dont buy the part and get him involved in something over his head. any thoughts would help!

are you sure that it is that which is the problem? It sounds like the IAC (idle air control) valve. That is a really simple replacement and you could try cleaning it first before replacing. They can be costly.

the turbo bypass valve is an easy replacement. Around 2 clamps and a vaccum line.
