Hi all, I,m really hoping someone can help with my problem otherwise my beloved Saab will have to be scrapped. The Ignition Switch broke so i,ve replaced that but when i tried refitting the Cylinder with Key in and pointing to the front, it goes in most of the way then stops with about 1/2 inch left to go before seating itself fully in. I think the Transmission is locked in Park( which i think automatically puts the ignition in locked mode. I read in the Haynes that there should be a Detent Lever to the left of the shift which if depressed should unlock the shift, well i've looked for this Lever and there isn't one so i'm at a loss with overcoming this problem hence this plea for help, here's hoping.
