Default Greetings

I just joined the site after a long and stress filled quest to buy a used car. The short version is both my wife and I love the feel Saab offers, but don't make the money to buy a one new. We finally decided on a 1998 900SE Turbo Convertible. Feels great, looks great. It has 73,000 miles, and through some work on my end I have gathered the service records from the previous two owners. Something that feels so right has left me with a too good to be true sense of things.......My in-laws think I am inviting the automotive plague into our home by not purchasing a Japanese car, the dealership thought I was from outerspace with the questions I was asking about the car, and I am pretty sure I got the price I wanted because they were dying for me to shut up and leave the store. Can anyone tell me things are going to be OK? Can anyone predict that there is a good chance I can enjoy this car without having to sell my children?
