Greetings, my name is Noel and I recently purchased my first Saab, I already love it! It is a 2001 9-3. I have a question regarding the SID. I have already read a bunch of posts about the dead pixels etc. My question is about replacing the factory stereo with a new head unit. If I do this, will the SID still alert me to lights being out, fluid levels etc? I can barely read it anyway, but would like the option to repair/replace SID to be open. Also, does anybody have a ballpark figure of how much a dealership charges to match a new SID to my car? I appreciate any feedback you guys and/or girls could give...
