looking for a mechanic around the Baltimore area who won't charge $1500 + parts to install a clutch and cable! the fact that i'm in the military doesn't make me rich![>:]

 

You got an auto hobby shop on base or are you a reservist? Lots of mech's at the hobby shop can help, and you can learn a lot about your car while you're at it. BTW, I'ma retired AF E-7, and used the hell out of the shops.

 

I know a place in Hagerstown that could do it if you dont mind driving about a hour...might be kind of far for a clutch job

 

If you were around Philly I'd refer you to my mech...there's no way in hell a clutch job costs $1500 in labor...

 

yep! they advised me to buy another car! HAHA

 

trust me, I don't mind....shifts ok upon start-up, but gets hard to go into gear as she warms up.
