Default parts

I just got a 99' saab 9-5 with front end damage. I will be needing a hood grille and headlights. I will probly get most of it on ebay but I was wondering if there are any upgraded headlights I can get or if the 02' to 04' lights will fit? Im looking forward to getting this car looking nice and moving fast.

you can put the hid bulbs in, but I advise against that. Not only is that illegal in most states, it's also dangerous.

what you buy in autozone is not HID. They're simply blue tinted lights. Real HIDs cost around $150 for a good kit. The problem is that the non-hid reflectors or projectors in the OEM headlight are not designed to work with those lights. You end up blinding people in oncoming traffic. I have real HIDs in my foglamps, but I usually turn them off if I see oncoming traffic. The difference is great, but you gotta be considerate. States like NJ will have you pulled over and ticketed for aftermarket HIDs. The only really proper way to have them is to retrofit them (including the reflector) from a car that came with them, so you biasically end up taking a pair of HID headlights from let's say a BMW and you cut them up and then install them into your headlights. The problem with saab headlights is that the lense is a glass piece and it still won't quite work as if it were OEM.
