2001 SAAB 9-3 HOT Aero 3dr Metallic Grey (2001)
First registered 28/9/2001.

ABS, TCS, Electric Windows, Climate control, Full leather memory seats, carbon dash surround, cruise control, remote central locking with 2 keys, rear head restraints, Sony cd player with ipod connectivity and blue tooth hands free (original single cd player comes with the car and uses steering mounted controls).
The car is pretty much standard apart from a few slight modifications I have made since owning the car. These cars have a reputation for the bulkhead to crack and pretty wayward handling from when they left the factory. Since owning the car and making sure the bulkhead was not cracked I have fitted a steering rack brace that secures the rack more firmly. This prevents the bulkhead from cracking by eliminating any movement on the rack causing fatigue and cracking. It also helps tighten up the steering, giving greater feel. To further help the handling I have recently fitted Powerflex suspension bushes (rear beam & front control/radius arms) and new ball joints. The car now handles and steers like SAAB should have made it originally. The rear shock absorbers have also been replaced recently.
This is my only car and I use it to commute about 50 motorway miles per day and it has been a pleasure to own. It is effortless and very comfortable to drive with the added bonus of having plenty of power when needed. The condition of the car overall is excellent. I would say it is mechanically perfect, the interior is spotless with very little wear (you have to look very close to even see any) and the exterior is excellent. The only 2 points which may let it down are the wheels, although they look very good, have small flaking of the paint on the edges of the rims and a crack on the underside of the front bumper that can only be seen if you kneel down. All manuals and service book are in the original SAAB leather wallet.
