Hi all,
As a Mechanical Engineer and automotive enthusiast, I commissioned a phenolic intake spacer to be made for my new to me '97 900 SE 2.0 Turbo. In short, the gains were more than I expected. I was expecting maybe 5 whp and similar torque, but it ended up making 8 whp and 13 ft-lbs of torque.
I'd like to make these available to the Saab community. Currently there are versions available for the 94-98 900 2.3 non turbo and 2.0 turbo, the 98-02 9-3 including viggen, the 84-98 9000 (all engines), the 2.0 900 classic (turbo and non turbo) and the 2.1L 900. The cost is $45 per spacer (for 9000 and NG900/9-3 cars there is also a throttle body spacer available as well if you wish to retain the factory throttle body coolant system, this is an additional $10). Longer grade 8 bolts with washers are available for an additonal $10. Please send me a private message if you are interested.
