My wife and I just bought an '06 9-3 Convertible and we a puzzled by the instructions for retracting the storage area in the trunk when the top is up. The owners manual (pg 84) refers to a "...disc with a handle at the back." which I am at a loss to find. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone else know what they are talking about?

I just traded an '06 and never noticed that feature. The storage area automatically raised with the top and was never an issue for me. You just have to make sure anything stored in the trunk with the top up leaves clearance for the storage area to drop if you wan to lower the top. Maybe it's an override in the event the storage area gets stuck in the down position with the top up?
