Default Bilstein Strut Replacement

Has anyone ever replaced the factory struts with the Bilstein HD's? I went to swap them out and the shaft is about twice the size off the originals and the bump stop does not fit. I called the place I purchased them from after checking I ordered and received the correct part, and they said their is a note that the bump stop may have to be modified to fit. Has anyone done this and do you have any pointers, I tried a search but not too much luck.

Thanks!

Kevin

I hate to post with no useful info, but I didn't want you to think you were ignored. I have never done this swap, or know anybody who has, but bump stop material is usually pretty soft and can probably be drilled very easy to fit the larger shaft.

I've heard of people running them, but I personally run Koni's, so no idea. I've modified bump stops on Hondas and it was easy. They're rubber basically.
