Ok, so I have a 2003 9-3 and forst off let me tell you this car has been nothing but trouble. I have had to replace the tranny at 49k miles. And I have had a slew of electrical problems. Now I am having more problems. I went to get my 60k service done and my check engine light was on. They told me that my secondary Air Intake Valve went and I need a new pump. Does anyone know what that means and where to get it fixed since the dealer wasts to charge a little over $1k for it?

The second problem is that I am getting a message on my SID that I have a left rear light out, but I check it all the time and there are none that are out. Is there a way to erase that message?

What's the exact model/trim of your car? Is it a V6 by any chance?

 

It is a 2003 Saab 9-3 Arc 2.0T

 

so no it is not a v6

 

ummm....if it's the part I think it is than it's a $300 part...however i'm not sure... I have not dealt with that engine before...

 

mayo this happens to me it always says my right tail light failure and i have to hit clear to get it off that lil screen near the windshield...and my CEL is always on yet nothing is wrong with my car at all...it just likes to stay on...idk whats up?

 

New to the site and looking for help.

I had the dealer tell me the same thing in my 03 2.0 Turbo that a code was coming up for the secondary air. Can someone point me in the right direction? This is definitely affecting performance and I would like to get it corrected.
