Left low dipped beam error for Xenon.
Hi all,
First post here, so please bear with me! So, I'm in the UK and have a 2008 Saab 93 Aero TTid with the Bi-Xenons (auto leveling and directional).
I've recently started experiencing a 'left low dipped beam error', or words to that effect, on the car's computer display messages. Low and behold, the nearside Xenon isn't working. I've replaced it with a like-for-like bulb (thing was like £60!) to no avail. I checked all connections were secure, and checked again. But alas, the error still persists and the Xenon beam isn't working still. I noted that there was some water ingress in the light unit, but put this down to the possibility that as the Xenon wasn't coming on, it wasn't heating up the unit. I did check the seals and they appeared to be intact with no obvious tears/gaps etc. As a final measure, I checked the fuse in the engine bay but it appeared to be unbroken too...
I was wondering if I need to replace the entire light unit. Has anybody experienced this issue before? If so, did you have to replace the entire unit, or is there anything else I could check just to be sure?
I appreciate any help and advice! Thank you.
