RE: missing vaccum hose
thanks i found the hose and got it replaced but the car still wont start. it tries to fire but then shuts off imediatly. could that hose being broken have effected something else?

RE: missing vaccum hose
The non-start is probably unrelated...you will have to check if you have fuel pressure and spark.

RE: missing vaccum hose
hey roto thanks for all your help, i still havent gotten it running, but i havent really worked on it either. i was wondering if the no start problem may be with the ignition casset. i took my car to the shop a few months back and they said it was not working right and would need to be replaced, but i had a red one, and they replaced it with a black one, which they said was fine and it should work with no problems.

RE: missing vaccum hose
a black one does the job, but you really should have a red one. And your shop should be shot in the nuts...a black one is VERY different from a red one. The two cassettes sence knock differently.

RE: missing vaccum hose
do you think it could be causing my non-start problem?

RE: missing vaccum hose
If it went bad - yea. It's easier when you can find someone in your area who can swap cassettes with you to test it out...
