My baby broke
I just bought my '99 Saab 9-3 at the end of this past summer. Since then I have only had two problems with it. The first one happend not too long after I got it, and it has to do with the radio. It used to freeze, and the only way to turn it off (even if the car was turned off and the keys were out of the ignition was to pull the fuse). Then it stopped even turning on and said "Radio Code." From what I researched the only way to fix this is to go to a dealer and get the code, because I don't have it.
The other problem happened today. It just turned off on me and stopped working as I was putting the car into reverse. When I try and restart it, it turns over and over but that is it. It sounds like it should start any second but never does. Yesterday I left the gas go down pretty low, but filled it up, a full tank last night. It was very cold last night and today (being up in NH), and I was thinking maybe water got into the tank, condensed then froze. So I bought dry gas and put it in the tank, and I also bought fuel injection cleaner and put that in the tank. But nothing changed. When I pumped the gas, it doesn't even smell like gas, which leads me to believe that the gas isn't even getting to the engine. I tried seeing if any of the fuses relating to fuel and other things that may be related to it, and none of the fuses were blown.
Anyone have any ideas of what happened or have any advice?
I think I may have to just suck it up and tow it and get it fixed at a garage, I just wish I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off.
Thanks in advance to anyone that posts.
