Red face One rear DRL won't turn off

I am having an on and off issue with my 2005 Saab 9-3 arc convertible. The drivers side rear daytime running light remains on after the car is turned off and the key is removed. It doesn't turn off when fiddling with the headlight on off switch. The only way to turn it off it to pull the fuse. Everything else seems to be functioning correctly except for a pinch sensor on the passenger side front window.

My mechanic's solution was to remove the bulb and leave it out which results in an annoying "light failure" notification every time I turn the car on. Has anyone else had this issue? Or does anyone have any ideas for things I could try?

Thanks!!

Have you left an indicator on possible, on vauxhalls leaving the indicator on acts as a parking light.
