Default Overheating Issue

Hey Folks,

Here we go again with another 93 issue...

This weekend my car began to overheat and I still had what I thought is enough coolant to get me home. The coolant that I have is RED but don't know the brand as my car manual was stolen. Anyway, does anyone know what coolant to place in the vehicle? Again, it is red. I heard it was Dexcool??? Also,do you think it is a good idea to place water in the coolant tank for a temporary fix? I have to take my car to the shop now but don't how much it will cost. Has anyone had to take their car in for thermometer fix? if so, how much am I looking at? Best guess anyone?

Default RE: Overheating Issue

A thermostat is an easy and very cheap fix...if it's all you need. And yea, you can put water in there...
