Default Remote Battery and BSR

Hi all, brand new here I have a 2003 9-3 Arc 2.0T ANd have some questions.

The other day my battery went on my spare remote, and now affriad the one I use now will go dead soon too. I just need to replace the batteries, does anyone know what kind of batteriese it uses? And is there any special method of putting it in?

My next question is:

BSR, is it good for the car? My car runs great now I just dont want to mess it up, I will probably keep it till it runs out, so I am not concerend about resale value....My main reasoning for the BSR is the gas mileage increase and of course the speed. And how much perforanmace does it gain with a 6speed 2.0T?

Thanks All ,

Glad to be here,
Brian

If your remote uses the same battery as my does than it's available at wallgreens for around $5... I've replaced my batteries several times in both remotes and it works fine. I'll look into your car tomorrow since I have WIS installed on the server in my office.

Thanks Roto,

I am just affraid that this battery will go too since I used them pretty much the same amount of time. And I am not sure if the person that had the car before replaced it. Better Be safe then sorry lol I did hear you can take the key out, but I dont want to mess with it plus it is getting colder.

CR2032 is the battery. you may have to open the door with the actual key once, but it whould work. Do it on your dead key first.

why radioshack if walgreens has it? You live nearby, right? You can just stop by and I'll help out.
