Shift control cable
Hey folks, newbie to Saabs here. Hoping you can help me with the part scarcity I'm observing. 2007 93 Aero with the 6 speed manual. I think I need a new shift control cable assembly. Symptoms are hard / numb shift into 2, 4, and 6 gears. Looked at the cables at the transmission and one cable seems to be failing.
Looking to replace, and can't find the right part. Part number we need is 55559077, but when searching, it's on galactic backorder. I did find part number 55568907, which is for a Saab 6speed, but apparently won't fit our car. Anyone been in this situation before, and have you tried the alternative part? What are the real differences between the two? Desperate to get it fixed, otherwise a great car is dead. TIA.
