Default Time for new CV joints?

I have a 2003 9-3 Arc with 112K. After purchasing brand new Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires, the "quietness" of the tires has revealed some whirring noises that sound like the CV joint(s) going bad? Has anyone had any experience with CV or axle replacements? Love the tires so far...I would recommend for anyone buying new tires for their 9-3.

Default CV joints

I got a chance to look under the car and found that the CV boots looked OK. I'm starting to think that maybe it is the wheel bearings now...

Thanks for the suggestion!
