Default WHAT WAS FIXED:

[sm=boosign.gif] Saab.

This is what the dealer said:

"replaced hood emblem"
"replace door mounting trim"
"tow from residence"
"replaced battery"
"reinstall rear seat trim, pass front trim"
"replace battery terminal covers"
"fixed recalls:
-tie strap
-connector set
-Automatic transmission fluid"

I am under warranty until 29 JAN 2009.
Of course, my dealer returned the car ABSOLUTLY FILTHY. The exterior had not been washed, and it had been raining for days. The interior was also very dirty, there was dirt ground into the floormats and on the door handles, and I could see tool marks/scrathes where they sloppily dug thier tools into my trim to remove another piece. And it's the same dealer chain that I take my BMW X5 to, so I don't really want to risk my excellent BMW service by talking back to them.
I will never again buy a SAAB.

the problem is that your dealer is not a true exclusive saab dealer. Those tend to suck big time. It took me a while until I found a dealer which actually knew saabs. Just takes time and looking around. Saabs are great cars, I wouldn't give up on them just because one dealer is a screw-up...and I would take it back and make a fuss. May be next time they'll think twice before giving you a filthy car back.

yea....it's not so much that the dealer is what's making me not want a Saab, it's more of the shotty reliability. When the warranty is up, sure, I'll look at the new 9-3. but I'll probably end up buying a Boxster or Z4. Anybody here have experience with those?

That seems all crap. Perhaps you try asking other mechanics about that. TAke your car to the nearest and trusted shop. I think they we're just trying to make a full modifications on your car, LOL.. that would probably spend a lot of money.
