Window has come loose
Thanks for any advice.
Here's the dealio:
Just not sure what should be attached to the bottom of the window, and how. I'm looking for some help on what it should look like in there, what should be attached to what, and what parts need to be inspected and possibly replaced.
thanks!
Here's the dealio:
- I have a Saab 9-3
- The driver's side window has come loose. The window can be moved up and down by gripping it by hand, but not by power.
- The small motor seems to be working fine. The window appears to be disengaged from the small motor and clamps/cables within the door.
- I have figured how to access inside the door. I removed the door liner.
- Now that I can see in there, I'm looking at some cables and some white plastic clamp type thingies.
Just not sure what should be attached to the bottom of the window, and how. I'm looking for some help on what it should look like in there, what should be attached to what, and what parts need to be inspected and possibly replaced.
thanks!

i just replaced the rear window in a 93, the plastic piece which travels up and down via the cable and motor should ride in the alum track that is friction cit to the lower portion of the window. i had a land rover where one of these plastic pices broke while driving and the window fell.
