So about a week about I managed to pick up my first Saab, a 2001 9-3 SE with 79k miles on it. I'm going through and doing all the fluids/maintenance on it just so I know exactly where it's at. So I go to kragen to get the needed items, refer to the book for the filters just to make sure I'm getting the correct ones. Get home and attempt to put the air filter in. Wrong size(part # CA8099), so I figure I just wasn't paying attention when grabbing it from the shelf. Head back up check the part number again and its the "correct" one. Decide to go with a different brand just to see where it gets me. Get home, same problem...

Now am I crazy or is the intake on the Saab I picked up not the correct one? Anyone else run into this problem and solved it? If so what was the brand/part number for the filter you managed to get to fit?
