Question Key will not turn in ignition

Heya Folks!

I have a 99 Saab 95. It was recently broken into and the window was smashed. Apparently small shards of glass got into the ignition. I was able to get the glass out but now the key will not turn at all. It does not feel like there is anything stuck because the key will not budge AT ALL. Not even the tiniest bit.

I am assuming I need to remove the ignition to clean or replace it, but in the instructions I have found, I will have to turn the key to remove the switch.

Any ideas? I would hate to bring it to a dealer because it would probably cost more than the car is worth to replace that, the window and some other damage that was done. I simply cannot afford it. I love my car and would really like to fix it but unfortunately if I cannot do it myself reasonably, I will have to find other transportation.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide! I really appreciate it!
