Well, it doesnt suck that bad, but it sucks enough to seem sucky.


ok heres the deal. I need to be no more than a car length away from my car in order for the alarm to be set with the key remote. cant lean out the house window, cant be in the garage and the car in the drive way. if im in a parking lot and hit the panic button cause i cant find my car (nope) that wont work, i need to find the car before i can pretend i cant find my car. What im saying is. my alarm range sucks. so i went to the stealership. had my key remote battery replaced. its still the say thing. i have to be almost right next to it in order for it to recieve the key remote signal. is there a way to improve this range??? with my other car (Trailblazer), I can be almost in my back yard and the car in the bottom of my drive way out front and it activates. its kinda sucky for my saab not to have decent range.

The range on these remotes are about 75-80 feet. The remote receiver in your car might be bad. The receiver is located behind the rear console under the rear vents.

 

Thank you. Am i correct to say. in the rear seat ac/heat vents that are located between the driver/passenger front seats is were the receiver is located??

Its a sedan.

 

Yes, No tools needed the vent can be pulled straight up to remove. Once removed you will see the receiver tucked in the left side of the console. Good Luck.
