Default Replacing exhaust system

I recently replaced the exhaust system in my 2005 Saab 9-5 Arc sedan.

It wasn't too bad of a job, but there were some challenges along the way.

I documented what did and made a PowerPoint presentation. I am hoping it can be of some assistance to others who are replacing their Saab exhaust system. Here is a link to it (pdf):

Hi
thanks for the nice presentation. In retrospect, would you have replaced both muffler components if the front flex pipe was the only part physically damaged, ie were the muffler sections salvageable? I know its probably best to replace all when you are under there but just curious how badly the mufflers had deteriorated relative to the flex pipe. I think I have the same issue with the flex pipe but its hard to tell about the mufflers since there are no holes or rust spots in my 2008 Saab 95.

I'm not sure; it all depends on the condition of the mufflers. Do you live in a northern climate where they put salt on the roads? If so, I'm guessing the mufflers will need replaced soon anyway.
