Default Buying a 1995 900 se 2.3 turbo

Hi all! First time on this forum.

I actually joined because i'm seriously considering buying a 5 door 1995900se 2.3 turbo with 110000 miles on it (173000km) and i'd like to find out a bit about it.

My questions:

1) At that mileage, will the engine still be powerful enough to make me proud?
2) From 1 to 10, how expensive would you rate autoparts for this car?
3) Are 9-3 parts compatible with this model?
4) What are the most common flaws on this model? Which parts, besides usual upkeep, should i be worried of?
5) Is the 1997 cd player compatible with the 1995 model (which comes with tape player) in case i want to replace it?
6) Relative question but... how much longer should i expect this car to last before it starts spending more time at the garage than on the streets?

Thanks a lot everybody!

Nicolas.

i waskinda on the same boat as you...i bought mine over the summer...umm from what ive experienced so far with my saab...i love it...parts are a little pricey but if you look in the right places you tend to find them at about the same prices as all the other euro cars. when it comes to it bein in the garage more than the road...at 110k miles...you have a long life ahead of you with that car...mine is at 114k and i know a couple people that had thiers till long after the 200k mark so dont worry about it...buy the car

Default 1995 900se turbo

We just picked our convertible up in may 2010. it had 116k on it when we bought her. We needed a car to drive across country and back which she did beautifully. So far the only thing that has or will cost us is to get the radio recoded (my fiance replaced the battery and if you don't power up the car within 3 minutes the radio is programmed to not work again with out being re coded, then when she tried recoding she entered in the wrong code so now it may cost us) I have a colleague that has 3 Saab's and absolutely loves them. The more I drive ours the more I appreciate everything about it. it is an excellent ride. Good luck

When I went to buy a convertible in 1994, I thought I would buy a Miata. But after driving test car diminutive, and discovered that the windshield did not come in the middle of my face, I realised that the other cars were examined. The moment I drove the Saab, I knew I had to have. This is a vehicle that was moving like a rocket, felt solid as a tank and was calm as can be expected for a luxury car.
