Car won't start
I drove the car to the store and that's where she sits. I came out and the car turns over fine it fired one cylinder and then nothing. Continued attempts failed. No engine light no signs of trouble.
Any thoughts |

when you get in the car and turn the key in the "ON" position (not trying to start it) do you hear a humming noise from the back of your car?

RE: Car won't start
I dont know I'm not near the car right now would a fuel pump stop the car fromstarting that quick I was thinking possibly the coil pack

RE: Car won't start
Yes, a failed fuel pump would do just like that. Happen out of the blue and pretty much no warning. Also if the car starts after it sat for a couple of hours it will most likely be the crank position sensor. It could be the ignition cassette, but I'd check for cold start and fuel first.

RE: Car won't start
It was also rather cold today 6 degrees the car started this morning drove 10 miles no issues

RE: Car won't start
I'll have to get it towed home and check the pump and fuses
Thanks for the advise |
RE: Car won't start
Actually I changed the crank position sensor last year

RE: Car won't start
Hitting the tank with a rubber mallet from the underneath can sometimes get it to start if it's the fuel pump. If it does start - it's 100% the pump.
