Its cool I know how that gets.
Btw we dropped the tranny but it turns out the shop we got the clutch kit from didn't include an alignment tool in the kit. Should have everything buttoned up by tomorrow night, I'll post a pic or two

Hiya I'm broke student at a university and my brother gave me his saab 900, its 1997 with a 2.3 and 4 doors.
First gear is fine, second the clutch plate slips for a second then catches, same with 3rd 4th and 5th, when im going up the ramp to get on the interstate and im in 5th i cant accelerate and i feel the clutch slipping. (not to mention the smell). Once of go going there is no slipping while driving, its just when accelerating.
I have very little money so I am going to have to resolve this on my own.
PS. I cant figure out how to set the cruise control.
Thanks in advance

You flip cruise 'on' and than press the side of the stalk. There's a button there.
As far as the clutch goes, have you ever done a clutch job yourself? It's not difficult, just heavy at times. Nothing that can't be done at home though. http://photo.platonoff.com/Auto/2006...ssion_Removal/ this is how you remove the tranny. Than replace the clutch and installation is reverse of removal...
